Although nothing compares to meeting face to face, we have been using online platforms to try to keep in touch with as many of our young people as possible.This has been complicated as many of these platforms have age restrictions. We also need to make sure we adhere to all our safeguarding policies. After chasing up permissions for everyone we’ve been able to set up small messenger group chats for most of our teenagers. This enables leaders and young people to keep in touch and works better for some groups more than others. We’ve also been using zoom for our Thursday night group, playing games and having a laugh at everyone’s lockdown haircuts.
